While RPO experienced strong growth in 2013, development varied by region. Although new deal signing growth was limited in North America, the market grew at 20%+ due to a steep increase in average deal size. Latin America grew by 23% due to a significant uptick in local deal signings in the region. Growth in EMEA and APAC was moderate.
Mexico’s IT/BPO employment has grown at a steady 4% over the past several years, and is expected to continue at that pace for the next several years. This increase will be driven in part by domestic demand from small and medium-sized businesses.
Mexico is the world’s fourth largest IT/BPO exporter after India, Philippines, and Canada, with IT/BPO export services growing at ~15% CAGR from 2009-12. The domestic IT/BPO market is also strong, growing at ~10% CAGR over the same time period.
Given the relatively nascent nature of the Latin American GAO market, Latin American adopters are predominantly large market enterprises. In this market, mid- and small market adoption trails that of the global market.
