Concerns over data security in the region were reignited with the recent news that AT&T was fined US$25 million after data customer breaches at call centers (the names of the service providers were not disclosed) in Mexico, Colombia and the Philippines. There has been some suggestion that concerns over data security in Latin America are leading buyers in the United States to reshore work that they had outsourced to the region.
