IT companies say it’s still too early to give a verdict on the impact of generative AI project delivery timelines but see great promise, even as analysts express concerns about a reduction in headcount.
Everest Group’s CEO Peter Bendor-Samuel described generative AI to be “still immature” but saw great promise. “We are seeing a lot of POCs (pilots) at this time with an early impact of 10% of productivity and growing conviction that it will eventually result in a 30%-plus impact on productivity,” he said.
