
IT service providers such as Tata Consultancy Services, HCL Technologies, Cognizant and Infosys are carving out specific revenue units corresponding to their cloud hyperscale partners like Google, Azure and AWS as they sign more cloud migration and consulting deals.
“Big Tech has declared a war on legacy (infrastructure) and is throwing huge amounts of money to lubricate the very expensive migration. This, in turn, is creating a huge market for the SI firms,” said Everest Group CEO Peter Bendor-Samuel. “Every SI firm is attempting to position itself for this large and attractive market by building and shoring up their cloud alliances.”
