The outsourcing and offshoring market continued to witness high activity during the second quarter of 2011. More than 500 outsourcing transactions, plus captive set-ups, reached a 42-month high.
Learn more about these developments and others, including a special feature “What Service Providers Say About Clients…” presented by Dr. Mary Lacity, professor of information systems at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
The analysis reviewed more than 1,300 research findings from the past 20 years on outsourcing effectiveness to determine which service provider claims are supported by the facts and which are not. Does a focus on price diminish innovation? Are RFPs too long? Does an unprofitable deal lead to poor results.

The webinar will cover:

  • Outsourcing transaction and captive trends in Q2-2011
  • Developments in Latin America locations from 2010 to 2011
  • Performance of 20 leading service providers
  • PLUS “What Service Providers Say About Clients…”

Market Vista, a quarterly report published by Everest Group, provides a comprehensive look into the key forces and metrics defining the market: outsourcing trends, health of the captive model, supplier developments, and location risks and opportunities. The Market Vista subscription recently has been enhanced to include an e-newsletter, e-briefings, service provider capability profiles and access to a robust location database.

Presenters:

  • Dr. Mary Lacity – Professor of Information Systems, College of Business Administration, University of Missouri-St. Louis
  • Eric Simonson – Managing Partner – Research, Everest Group
  • Amneet Singh – Vice President – Global Sourcing, Everest Group
