The Global Capability Center (GCC) landscape is on a sustained growth path, with offshore-nearshore centers expected to rise from around 6,000 in 2024 to nearly 7,000 by 2027.
Many enterprises are exploring GCCs to secure talent, build more resilient operations, and retain greater control over critical work. However, enterprises often face structural and execution challenges, such as a conservative approach to offshoring, limited experience in setting up and running GCCs, and insufficient understanding of local markets and talent ecosystems. To navigate these hurdles, enterprises are increasingly partnering with providers to set up GCCs. Provider-supported constructs have expanded rapidly over the past few years, with models such as Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT), Assisted Build Out (ABO), and Joint Venture (JV) gaining traction.
This report analyzes these models and outlines how provider-supported GCC setups are likely to evolve in the coming years.
