Why the Everest Group Cybersecurity Top 50™?
As enterprises accelerate digital transformation across cloud, hybrid, and AI-driven environments, cybersecurity has become a foundational pillar of business resilience and trust. The rapid expansion of digital ecosystems, combined with an increasingly sophisticated and persistent threat landscape, has elevated cybersecurity from a technical function to a strategic enterprise priority.
Cloud adoption, AI-enabled operations, connected devices, remote work, and heightened regulatory scrutiny have grown the global cybersecurity market significantly in recent years. Today, cybersecurity spans a wide range of solution areas, including identity and access management, endpoint security, network security, cloud and application security, data protection, and security operations. The market continues to attract a diverse range of providers, ranging from pure-play cybersecurity specialists to broad-based technology companies with sizable cybersecurity portfolios.
The Cybersecurity Top 50™ helps enterprises, investors, and industry participants identify scaled-up providers, understand relative market positioning, and assess the competitive landscape. For providers, the list serves as a benchmark to compare scale and growth against peers in the global cybersecurity ecosystem.
How is the Everest Group Cybersecurity Top 50™ determined?
Qualified providers are evaluated and ranked based on a quantitative assessment using the following three parameters:
- Cybersecurity revenue: based on CY2024 cybersecurity revenue, covering the period from January 1 to December 31, 2024.
- Growth rate: measured as YoY growth, calculated using cybersecurity revenues from CY2023 and CY2024 to reflect both scale expansion and market momentum.
- Valuation: for publicly listed companies, valuation is determined using market capitalization as of December 31, 2024. For privately held companies, enterprise value or estimated valuation figures are used to approximate overall market worth.
Each parameter is assigned a predefined weight in the overall ranking framework, as outlined in the methodology section. The combined weighted scores determine the final ranking of providers in the Everest Group Cybersecurity Top 50™.
