Innovation Watch: Work Intelligence and Workforce Redesign 2026

As enterprises navigate rapid technological change driven by AI and automation, understanding and redesigning work has become an essential workforce strategy capability. Organizations are increasingly moving beyond traditional job- and skills-based models toward a more granular, task-centric view of work. Work intelligence platforms support this shift by deconstructing roles into tasks, analyzing automation potential, and identifying opportunities to optimize work design and workforce productivity.

These platforms leverage a combination of internal enterprise data, external labor market intelligence, and AI-based modeling to provide insights into how jobs and roles can be augmented, automated, or restructured. By enabling enterprises to better align workforce capabilities with evolving business requirements and technology advances, work intelligence solutions are emerging as a critical enabler of workforce transformation.

In this report, we evaluate 13 leading providers offering work intelligence capabilities for enterprise workforce transformation use cases, either as stand-alone platforms or as integrated intelligence layers within broader offerings. Using the Everest Group Innovation Watch Assessment framework, we assess each provider’s capabilities, product strategy, and market positioning. Based on innovation strength and market impact, we categorize the providers as Luminaries, Fast Followers, Influencers, and Seekers.
