Offshoring in MSP: A Scenario – Based Analysis of Potential Savings
Traditionally, offshoring has been more prevalent in some sectors, such as HR Outsourcing (HRO) and Procurement Outsourcing (PO). There has been relatively less adoption in other sectors such as Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO). However, increasing cost pressures (especially after 2008), rising buyers’ trust in the offshoring model, and the availability of skilled manpower in offshore locations, has resulted in higher adoption of offshoring across most sectors. This recent spurt in the use of offshoring has led some service providers to experiment with in the closely associated area of MSP. This report discusses the various benefits of offshoring in MSP and the extent of savings that can be achieved by offshoring different MSP processes.
