Job overview

Product Marketing is a new discipline within Everest Group and this role is an excellent opportunity for the right person with the relevant expertise and experience to help establish the function within the firm. Reporting to the Product Marketing Director, you will work closely with cross-functional team members in Research, Sales, and Marketing. Specifically, the Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for understanding the clients’ needs and working with our research leaders to ensure that memberships reflect those needs. Further, the Product Marketing Manager will help define value propositions, craft messaging for memberships, and develop effective marketing plans for memberships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct competitor analysis and market research
  • Assist in developing go-to-market strategy and sales enablement plan
  • Identify the key features to spotlight and empower Sales with clear value propositions
  • Develop membership positioning, communications, and collateral
  • Conduct client listening sessions and develop an innate understanding of our clients, their goals, personas, and purchase motivations
  • Create feedback loops for client input as part of the lifecycle process
  • Provide guidance throughout the lifecycle of customers’ memberships to the Research Analyst team
  • Work closely with other members of Marketing to plan and execute effective marketing campaigns

Experience/Aptitude

Demonstrated Ability To:

  • Develop strong value propositions and product collateral that engages prospects
  • Distill complicated features and solutions into messaging for specific audiences
  • Deeply research and back up opinions with thoughtful, valid data from appropriate sources
  • Monitor for and identify market signs, trends, and client opportunities
  • Push an organization to respond to market needs and to help translate those needs into new and/or refined memberships
  • Collaborate with and influence cross-functional teams across all levels of the organization
  • Have a bias for action and a willingness to roll up your sleeves to do what it takes to get things done
  • Work autonomously and collaborate effectively as part of a remote team
  • Balance vision, passion, and practicality

Candidates must have:

  • Minimum of 6+ years of experience in B2B product marketing
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Extensive experience in professional services/research/knowledge product marketing
  • Experience conducting client/customer interviews and focus groups to determine needs and assess feedback
  • Outstanding written and verbal communications
  • Strong external-facing writing skills such as case studies, sales collateral, and website copy
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
