Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead UX/UI Designer with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join our dynamic engineering team at Everest Group. In this pivotal role, you will take ownership of the entire design process for all of our digital products, both internally and externally. Your mission will be to create visually compelling and intuitive user experiences that elevate our brand and deliver exceptional value to our clients and internal users. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence our design standards and improve user experiences across all platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design Leadership:
- Lead the design process from concept to delivery, including wireframes, mockups, and prototypes for web-based platforms and products
- Design and enhance user interfaces and experiences across various platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into innovative design solutions
- User-Centered Design:
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to inform and iterate on design decisions
- Analyze user behavior and continuously refine designs to improve engagement and satisfaction
- Brand Consistency:
- Ensure that all digital products adhere to Everest Group’s brand guidelines, maintaining a cohesive and recognizable visual identity.
- Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and UI patterns to ensure consistency across all platforms.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with developers to ensure that designs are implemented accurately and efficiently.
- Clearly communicate design concepts, decisions, and rationale to stakeholders and team members.
- Participate in design reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to and from peers.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in UX/UI design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in web-based platforms and product design.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Advanced skills in design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, and InVision.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.
- Experience in conducting user research and applying usability testing methodologies.
- Interpersonal Skills:
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum teams.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices
Remote Work and Travel (Including International): The candidate must be comfortable with a combination of remote work and travel, with the flexibility to work from home when not traveling and travel as needed to client sites, conferences, training sessions or company events, both domestically and internationally. The ability to maintain productivity and communication while on the road, including during international trips, is essential.
