Throughout his career, Mark Lade has motivated and led organizations to achieve transformational change, delivering both strategic advantage and cost savings. With extensive experience as a senior IT executive in the finance industry, Mark excels in combined business process and IT-driven transformations, win-win partner relationships, business case development and complex transition management.
Since joining Everest Group, Mark has leveraged this experience across a broad set of industries, from insurance to high tech, energy, and manufacturing. He has helped Everest Group clients define and execute growth strategies, transform to best-practice organizations, and improve their speed, quality and risk management—while significantly enhancing their ability to achieve strategic and financial objectives.
For example, at a U.S.-based global high tech firm, Mark led the client in developing a strategy to materially grow their presence in targeted verticals, identifying opportunities by aligning their brand, IP and market presence with competitive intensity and global market conditions.
For a leading North American pipeline operator, Mark led the successful transition to a $300 million Application Development and Maintenance (ADM) managed service. While establishing best practices in governance and ADM processes, Mark positioned the relationship for improved speed, quality and risk, while delivering against an aggressive timeline.
Likewise, for a large global insurer, Mark established a Vendor Strategy and assisted them in building a best practice Vendor Management Office, positioning them for fully leveraging IT as-a-service, third-party resourcing models, and their global footprint while reducing vendor risk.
Prior to joining Everest Group, Mark established and operated his own IT management consulting firm. His accomplishments include assessing the market position of a leading Canadian telco and its approach to the US$500 million finance vertical; leading the business plan and pursuit of $1.5 million in venture capital funding for a software-as-a-service startup; and working with a leading Canadian community to develop its “Smartcity” strategy.
Prior to that, Mark spent 16 years as a senior IT executive at TD Bank Group, a top five North American bank. As vice president of network services, he was responsible for the strategy, engineering and operations of network, voice, video and network security services for North America, the UK and Asia Pacific. Prior to this, he led multiple ITO and BPO initiatives ranging in size from $50 million to $1 billion. He held a variety of executive roles while at TD Bank, with responsibilities spanning engineering, enterprise solutions, IT strategy and network and desktop services. Earlier in his career, Mark was a systems engineer at IBM Canada.
Mark completed the Ivey Executive Program at the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario and received a Bachelor of Mathematics in computer science from the University of Waterloo.
