Dale Stara, who has been with Everest Group for more than seven years, assists Fortune 500 and mid-market organizations in maximizing their productivity and efficiency by developing executable strategies that align with their organizations, operations, and technologies. Dale’s experience spans the business lifecycle from go-to-market strategies to business development, from profit improvement to business transformation. He has worked with start-ups and global multinationals in a variety of industries, including banking and financial services, retail, consumer packaged goods, chemical, energy, oil and gas, and telecommunications.
With his operational and strategy experience, Dale brings a real-world perspective in understanding complex issues and resolving them with actionable solutions to build a demonstrable record of increasing sales, reducing cost, and improved operational efficiencies.
In a recent engagement, Dale was tasked with leading a team of consultants to create a strategy and go-to-market plan for an up-and-coming offshore region wanting to further penetrate the IT services market. The team studied the landscape to understand and develop the region’s value proposition, building on its strengths. The team further created an operational plan that created a cohesive ecosystem to maximize market penetration potential.
When a global retailer needed to improve the efficiency and quality of its business process services across 30 countries, Dale led a team of consultants to build a fact base of outsourced and retained activity, created an understanding of gaps and defined a strategy to achieve desired outcomes. The team led the execution of the plan that significantly improve service quality, quickly addressing user satisfaction and quality of the services.
Dale was instrumental in assisting a Global 100 client with eight divisions in 60 countries to improve its finance and accounting processes. In this engagement, he directed a team of consultants to document the cost structure throughout the current process. The team then developed initiatives that drove down costs by 25 percent by integrating the eight divisional entities into one unit after creating a regional, low-cost shared services organization for common functions.
Prior to joining Everest Group, Dale was Senior Manager, Business Transformation and Productivity Improvement at EDS. He was primarily responsible for global initiative oversight, leading multiple work streams in EDS’s back office business-transformation efforts, including the creation and implementation of a global shared services center. In this role, he identified and executed initiatives to drive $30M of current-year savings and $48 million in yearly ongoing savings through offshore efforts and process improvement leading to workforce efficiencies. He transitioned 3,000 employees from a dispersed organization into leveraged service centers, ensuring proper organizational, process and technology alignment and service delivery quality. Dale has also held strategy roles in cloud computing, telecommunication and chemical companies.
