Everest Global, Inc., d/b/a Everest Group (“Everest Group”) is committed to protecting the privacy of the personally-identifiable information that we collect from you as you use this website (the “Site”). The scope of Everest Group’s commitment is detailed in this Privacy Policy. By using the Site and submitting information, you agree to Everest Group’s use of such information as described in this Policy.

What personally-identifiable information is collected?

Everest Group collects personally-identifiable information on certain areas of the Site when you request publications or other information, sign up for events, apply for jobs, or participate in surveys or user posting areas such as bulletin boards or discussion forums. The information may consist of items that you provide, such as names, mailing addresses, e-mail addresses, telephone numbers and fax numbers, and for recruiting purposes, any information on your resume. In addition, Everest Group collects certain information that you do not visibly enter, such as your IP address, browsing pattern on the Site, click stream, and the status of cookies placed on your computer by Everest Group, as described below.

How may Everest Group use my personally-identifiable information?

Everest Group uses your personally-identifiable information to fulfill your requests for information, to process your requests to participate in events, to evaluate any job applications or other employment-related inquiries that you may submit, for such other business purposes as you may initiate or request, and to provide you with high-quality services and offerings we think are relevant to you. The information may be kept on file or stored in the Everest Group’s or its affiliates’ or service providers’ databases for such purposes. If you opt in to a newsletter list or request more information, you should be aware that you are granting permission to Everest Group to contact you or send you notifications from time to time about new developments, as well as marketing and promotional items regarding its services and products and those of its affiliates. Everest Group also uses personally-identifiable information to perform statistical analyses of user behavior in order to measure interest in specific areas and information posted on our Site, and Everest Group uses information collected from cookies and IP addresses as described below. Everest Group may provide your personally-identifiable information to any of its affiliates, agents, channel partners or service providers worldwide for such purposes. Depending on where you are located, your personally identifiable information may be transferred to a country that has less restrictive laws and regulations regarding data protection than the laws and regulations of your home country.

Is personally-identifiable information disclosed to third parties?

Everest Group shall not intentionally disclose or transfer (and shall take reasonable steps to protect the confidentiality and security, and to prevent the unauthorized or accidental disclosure of) your personally-identifiable information to third parties (i.e., persons or entities that are not affiliates of Everest Group), whether for such third parties’ marketing purposes or otherwise, subject only to the following exceptions : a) if such disclosure is required by applicable laws, rules, or regulations; b) as appropriate for Everest Group to make transmissions or deliveries to you; c) in accordance with a consent made by you; d) in response to inquiries by bona-fide rights owners in connection with allegations of infringement of copyright or other proprietary rights; e) to agents, associates or service providers of Everest Group or its affiliates who assist us in providing or marketing our products or services or those of our affiliates; or g) to third party payment processors for payment purposes. Everest Group does not control the purposes for which third parties may use personally-identifiable information.

Email Subscriber List

Everest Group requires that users provide an email address as their login identity when registering for a Research Portal account on our website. This process ensures a unique identity and provides Everest Group with a method to contact you about service interruptions and other service-related issues. During registration, users are added to Everest Group’s subscriber list to receive additional communications about special Everest Group offers, unless they uncheck the pre-checked Contact box. If you choose to un-check the Contact box, you will not be included in Everest Group subscriber list. You may opt to be removed from the subscriber list at any time. To remove your email address from this list, simply login to the sites, click on Edit Profile in the top right corner of the screen, then un-check the selected contact methods in the “Contact Me By” section. Or you may also request that your email address be removed from the website subscriber list by entering it on our Unsubscribe list. Once you request to be removed, please allow up to 10 days to be taken off Everest Group subscriber list. If you would like to re-subscribe, you can add your email address to our list again by sending a request to Everest Group at info@everestgrp.com.

Cookie Policy

The Site uses cookies to identify you and your interests and to track usage of the Site. Cookies are small pieces of text stored on your computer that help us know which browser you are using and where you have been on the Site and on websites to which you may link in order to use some of our features. Privacy of Information Collected on this Site

Users of the site should be aware that links to other Internet sites may be available on the site. If a user leaves the site and goes to another site, users should be aware that those sites may follow privacy policies that differ from the policies of Everest Group. Everest Group is not responsible for, and expressly disclaims any and all liability related to, actions of such linked sites, their privacy policies or the content of such sites. This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by Everest Group’s Sites.

Privacy of Data Not Collected Via our Sites

Everest Group may perform consulting services such as strategic analysis or data management for clients, during which it may be given access to personally-identifiable information (“PII”) relating to the personnel of such clients or their affiliates, customers or contractors (“Clients’ PII”) . Everest Group does not disclose clients’ data, including Clients’ PII, to any third parties without the express consent of the client. Everest Group requires its employees and subcontractors to enter into written agreements to keep all such data confidential and to abide by Everest Group’s Global Personnel Policy regarding Privacy and Security of Personally-identifiable Information, which is designed to comply with the European Union’s Data Processing Principles. Everest Group will collect and process any Client PII only as instructed by the client and in accordance with Everest Group’s policies, procedures, applicable laws and regulations.

Onward Transfer

Everest Group will not transfer Clients’ PII to a third party except as authorized by the client. Any transfer of PII among the affiliated Everest Group companies is governed by Data Transfer Agreements between each company, which contain the ICC Standard Contractual Clauses for the Transfer of Personal Data from the Community to Third Countries in the form approved by the Commission of the European Union. Where Everest Group uses third-party sub-contractors or vendors having access to Clients’ PII through Everest Group they shall be contractually required to enter into confidentiality agreements and to comply with Everest Group’s confidentiality and privacy policies.

Security

Everest Group maintains reasonable and appropriate technical and organizational measures and precautions to protect personally-identifiable information from accidental or unlawful loss, misuse and unauthorized disclosure, access, alteration or destruction. Only authorized users, bound by employee confidentiality agreements, have access to Clients’ PII stored by Everest Group.

Enforcement

Everest Group will cooperate with relevant authorities, including the EU Data Protection Authorities and the Department of Commerce, to resolve any complaints and disputes arising in connection with its privacy policies. Everest Group will investigate any reported complaints of violations of its privacy policy and will take prompt remedial action where violations are found. Dispute resolution provisions in Everest Group’s client contracts will be followed.

How can I access, change, and/or delete information?

You may access, correct, update, and/or delete any personally-identifiable information that you submit to the Site. You may also unsubscribe from mailing lists or any registrations on the Site. Statement of Data Processing Principles
