Stephen Dunn

Principal

Stephen Dunn is an Everest Group Principal.  He has a strong blend of IT, process and business experience built on nearly two decades of experience with suppliers and  as a consultant and strategic advisor for global companies.  While he has worked in many industries, his primary focus has been in financial institutions, energy and transportation.

His client engagements for Everest Group include leading the re-structuring and re-negotiation of an IT contract with approximately US$2 billion in annual spend for a European government; managing the Enterprise Sourcing Strategy that identified 30% savings across an approximate annual cost base of US$125 million for a major life and annuities insurance company; managing a strategic review of the HR, finance & accounting, procurement and IT functions for a Canadian transportation leader, which resulted in substantial savings and improved service levels; leading the RFP process for offshore application development and maintenance for a major publishing and technology company, which identified substantial cost, quality and productivity improvements; and assisting in the due diligence of an Indian BPO service provider for a private equity firm.

During his prior four years at McKinsey & Company, Mr. Dunn was involved in determining the baseline for IT operations, establishing clear priorities for change in operating costs and cycle times, managing negotiations, facilitating growth strategies and guiding a successful energy industry mega-merger. Earlier, Mr. Dunn was a Principal Consultant in Price Waterhouse’s Entertainment and Media Group, based in New York and London.

Mr. Dunn earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Rice University, a Masters in Computer Science from Rice University, and a Master of Business Administration degree with Distinction in International Business and Finance from New York University, graduating in the top 1% of his class.
